Welcome to FolioFact. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using our service.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using FolioFact, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

2. Description of Service

FolioFact provides public-market research pages based on SEC filings, including 13F holdings, Form 4/5 insider activity, and SEC companyfacts/XBRL fundamentals where available. The Service is informational only and does not provide investment, legal, tax, or financial advice.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe on intellectual property rights
Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or exploit the Service
Harass, abuse, or harm other users

5. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

6. API & Automated Access

FolioFact exposes read-only programmatic access — an MCP server (POST /mcp) and a REST API (/api/v1/*) — for AI agents and automated clients. By using these surfaces you agree to the following:

API keys are credentials. Treat them like passwords. Keys are stored as one-way fingerprints only — we cannot recover a lost key. Keep them confidential and revoke any key you no longer use.
Rate limits apply. Anonymous and keyed access are rate-limited (see the Agents & API page). We may throttle or revoke access that abuses these limits or the Service.
Read-only. These surfaces expose reads only. Attempting to write, bypass rate limits (for example by creating multiple keys to exceed the account-level daily cap), or interfere with the Service violates these Terms and may result in key revocation or account termination.
