This Cookie Policy explains how FolioFact uses cookies and similar technologies.

What FolioFact Stores in Your Browser

FolioFact uses one signed authentication cookie to keep an account signed in and protect account actions. The cookie does not contain your password. Disabling or deleting it signs you out.

FolioFact also uses local storage, which is browser storage rather than a cookie, for interface preferences such as whether navigation is collapsed.

Analytics

Our first-party Ahoy analytics is server-side and does not use analytics cookies. It records public-page visits with a masked IP address and no geolocation. Sentry error reporting also does not set a FolioFact analytics cookie.

We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking, social-media, analytics, or preference cookies on FolioFact.

Other Services

If you choose Google sign-in or continue to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe billing portal, those services may use cookies on their own domains under their own policies. FolioFact cannot read those third-party cookies.

Managing Browser Data

You can delete the signed authentication cookie and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so signs you out and resets interface preferences, but public research remains available.
